About the Program:
Welcome to our Mini Musketeers Fencing Program tailored for little titans, warriors, pirates, and Jedi in the making aged 4-6! Our program offers a fun introduction to the sport of fencing. We understand the boundless energy and imagination of this age group, and our aim is to channel that enthusiasm into a structured and enjoyable experience learning fencing.
Program Benefits:
- Development of Fine and Gross Motor Skills: Through the practice of fencing techniques, children will enhance both their fine and gross motor skills, fostering physical dexterity and control.
- Coordination and Reflex Training: Fencing requires quick thinking and even quicker movements, honing reflexes and improving coordination.
- Focus and Concentration: Learning the fundamentals of fencing requires concentration, helping children develop focus and attention skills.
- Agility, Balance, and Coordination: The dynamic nature of fencing encourages the development of agility, balance, and coordination, essential for children's overall physical development.
What to Expect:
In the Mini Musketeers Fencing Program, children will learn the sport of fencing while having an absolute blast!
Here's what you can expect:
- Fun while Learning: Our approach combines structured age-appropriate fencing instruction with games, ensuring that every session is packed with learning and FUN.
- Foundation Building: We understand the unique needs of young learners and that they are still building their strength, focus, and motor skills. We introduce students to the foundations of fencing, setting the stage for their future development in the sport. Each Mini Musketeer will use a light-weight plastic épée, perfect for learning the sport at this age.
- Supportive Environment: Our experienced instructors create a supportive atmosphere where children feel encouraged to explore, learn, and excel at their own pace.
- Safety First: Safety is our priority. Our instructors are trained to provide a safe environment where children can explore and learn without worry. All students are required to wear appropriate safety gear when using the Epee.

Fees:
Monthly Plans (auto-renew)
- 1 class/week - $99 monthly
- 2 classes/week - $165 monthly
Class Packages
- 1 Class (Drop In) - $35
- 10 Class Package $265 - expires after 6 months
Equipment: Fencing equipment for this class, which includes plastic épée, mask, and jacket, is included with the Mini Musketeers program fees, for use during class. Equipment must be returned to DFAM at the end of each class.
Additional Details: If a student misses a class while enrolled in the 1 Class/Week Monthly Plan, they may attend a 2nd class the week following. Otherwise, class make-ups are not available. Class plans are not prorated based on attendance.
Pre-Requirements
An active USA Fencing membership is a pre-requirement for enrollment in all fencing activities at Davis Fencing Academy of Miami. Please join at https://member.usafencing.org/signup. Select Davis Fencing Academy of Miami as your affiliate club.
